About This Role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead the team at Hoopla—Melbourne’s newest family entertainment destination. From the buzzing playground to the fully-licensed restaurant and bar, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Venue Manager and ensuring every part of the venue runs seamlessly. You’ll work closely with the Venue Manager and leadership team to oversee daily operations, support staff performance, and deliver an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors. This is an immediate start position.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of relevant experience required (hospitality experience highly preferred)
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and school holidays
- A confident, personable approach suited to a family-focused venue
- Strong problem-solving skills and operational awareness
- Must have full working rights in Australia
- Only experienced candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Venue Manager in all aspects of running the business
- Lead and support the team across floor, restaurant, bar, and entertainment areas
- Ensure high service standards are consistently delivered
- Oversee opening and closing procedures
- Support rostering, stock control, and day-to-day operational admin
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain a positive, high-performance team culture
